Victoria's artistic training stems from her ballet and musical stage performance background, along with a classic and modern art education at the College of William & Mary. Photography became one of Victoria's earliest artistic passions, and has been her professional craft for over a decade after shooting her first wedding at 18.
Inspired by Baroque paintings, cinema, and performing arts, Victoria utilizes a unique blend of hands-on artistic direction behind the camera, an editorial approach, dreamy lighting, and a deep knowledge of artistic principles to produce rare and extraordinary images that glow with warm, rich color and intense, romantic emotion. Embracing pre-digital photographic film, Victoria uses a mix of Medium Format 120mm film and digital photography for your wedding day to produce the finest quality imagery possible, with a fashion-forward edge and a touch of nostalgia.
I love working with couples with discerning taste, big dreams, emphasis on their romance, and a passion for exploration.
My style is vivid and dreamy, and I use analog film whenever possible to produce luscious, timeless imagery that endures along with you.
Over the past 14 years, I have provided my clientele with an exclusive wedding photography experience centered on the psychology of memory-making.
Each collection includes a custom-engraved wooden box of 4x6 prints and a folio of your film negatives so your memories stay accessible.
Victoria Heer provides artisan imagery and a bespoke photography experience for an effervescently romantic clientele. We never use cookie-cutter poses and always deliver breathtaking, inspired images. Our sought-after boutique method of wedding photography immerses you in an artisan experience every step of the way that goes above and beyond the typical level of service and attention.
