This afternoon is inspired by the books The Secret Garden and The Little Princess - stories that capture the youthful sense of adventure, playfulness, romance, and wonder you feel as a young girl - coupled with the historical significance of this turning point in your life. Why not inhabit this moment a little longer than on your wedding day to delight in the feeling of being a bride?
Have your hair and makeup done, bring a friend or two, and Victoria will bring tea and cookies, and we’ll make a proper, girly event of it all!
Bridal Boudoir and Portraits take place at your home, a beautiful private location, or at your venue a few days or weeks before your wedding. Start by wearing a flowing robe and a few pieces of pretty lingerie for some tasteful, classy boudoir photos, then put on your wedding gown for photographs of just you (because who doesn’t want more chances to wear their wedding dress?!) as the sun sets.
During the shoot, the focus remains on capturing youthful beauty and more “getting ready”-style photos rather than the those naughty “pin-up” poses you saw in your head as you read the word “boudoir.” (“Boudoir” is just a fancy French word that means “a woman’s private room or bedroom,” and not “get naked” as it has been misconstrued to mean).
Victoria works with you to prepare for your session and help you style your outfits and commissions a professionally crafted bouquet to make your portraits look Vogue-worthy.
The final images from each session are delivered on a password-protected gallery, accompanied by a beautiful Unbound Heirloom Album filled with 4x6 prints of all final images and a USB of files for you to secretly keep for yourself or gift to your partner.
This isn't what you're thinking. It's not risqué. It's not raunchy. It's not about nudity. It's not any more skin than you'd show at the beach in a bikini. It's soft. It's romantic. It's dreamy.
Tori made me feel absolutely beautiful. During the shoot she made me feel so comfortable and was very accommodating when I told her I wanted to show off certain things and hide others. Her personality immediately put me at ease, and she knew just how to help me pose to get such great photos. So many small things that make a BIG difference (like pointing your toes, sticking your chin up, etc). Sometimes she'd take before and after shots to show me what a difference good posing makes, and to give me a sneak peek of how amazing the photos were looking. She also isn't afraid to step in and fix your hair or clothing if something is out of place. I definitely found myself feeling more confident as the shoot went on, and by the end of it I didn't want to leave! I felt empowered, sexy, and strong. Tori was SO excited the whole time and wholeheartedly encouraged my many wardrobe changes. I seriously felt like a supermodel!
This was meant to be a gift for my soon-to-be husband, but I soon realized this was also a gift to myself. Thank you, Tori, for allowing me to appreciate the beauty that lies within me.
Boudoir shoots are such an intimate experience and they can also be quite empowering with the right mindset and of course, the right photographer.
Choosing Tori to photograph my boudoir shoot was one of the best decisions I made. She has such a genuine, kind nature and instantly helps to make you feel comfortable. Before the shoot, we met for lunch, had a few laughs and took the time to get to know each other a little better. That really meant a lot and helped me to feel really at ease before shooting. Throughout the shoot, Tori was incredibly professional, encouraging and innovative in how she captured the feel of the afternoon. She helped to highlight the parts of my body I love in a way that was beautiful and most importantly, true to me.
I am just in love with the photos from that day. I look like the best version of myself thanks to Tori. She's an incredible photographer and honestly, she's one in a million (but, since you're on her site you already know that)! Don't hesitate, if you're looking for someone to photograph your boudoir shoot, pick Tori!
